Le silastic est fabriqué de deux ou plusieurs
épaisseurs de tissus fibre de verre texturisés
laminés ensemble avec un silicone rouge haute
température ignifuge. Il est offert en fini lisse, fini
« red oxyde » et régulier. Il est couramment utilisé
dans les alumineries pour les joints de syphon. Il
tolère des températures pouvant atteindre 500
0
F.
Voici quelques unes des applications pour
le silastic : Joint pour base de porte de four,
support de pièce pour traitement thermique,
joint d’étanchéité en général, tadpole, jupette
de convoyeur, tapis haute température, rideau
protecteur, joint d’expansion.

The silastic is made of 2 or more thicknesses
of texturized fiberglass cloth laminated together
with a red high temperature fireproof silicone.
It is offered in a smooth, red oxide or regular
finish. This material is often used in smelters
for tapping operation joints and tolerates
temperatures up to 500
0
F.
Some of the applications for the silastic are
as follows : Gasket for oven door base,
supporting part for thermal treatment, general
sealing gasket, tadpole, conveyor skirt, high
temperature mat, protection curtain, expansion
joint and more.

Imprégné de PTFE sur un côté, ce tissu convient
aux environnements acides et résiste bien
aux changements climatiques. Il se coud
aisément et possède d’excellentes propriétés
ininflammables.

Imprégné de PTFE sur les deux côtés, ce tissu est
