Tadpoles, gasket made to fit

TADPOLES MADE TO FIT

ISO 9001 : 2000 Certified

A tadpole made to fit is a gasket composed of a bulb and a tongue. They are used to seal or caulk empty spaces. Depending on the application, the bulb can have an inner core of fiberglass, ceramic, stainless steel wire cable or inconel wire cable. Referring to the application and surrounding environment, we will cover the bulb with the most performing fabric. We can use a cloth or a metallic mesh that can also be coated or treated with silicone, Teflon®, neoprene or vermiculite.

Tadpoles made to fit are flexible and perform in low pressure. They can adjust on equipment parts and are easily installed.

Our tadpoles made to fit are used in different manufacturing industries and metallurgical processing:

• Insulate oven doors, furnaces and boilers
• Seal between uneven surfaces
• Prevent leakage
• Control dust in the environment.

The combinations of the bulbs and tongues are countless. Every style has its own quality.
At Industries 3R, our priority is to make a tadpole that will resolve any problem.

The choice of a tadpole

Four factors need to be analyzed in order to choose the perfect tadpole:
• Temperature
• Abrasion resistance
• Original shape recovery
• Tadpole style

Every tadpole answers a specific need. You will find below examples of commonly used tadpoles that will help you decide what style you require.
