PIPE REPAIR SYSTEM

The STOP IT® PIPE REPAIR SYSTEM repairs Carbon steel, stainless, aluminium, copper, galvanized; PVC, CPVC, PVDF, polyethylene, polypropylene and fiberglass pipes, to name a few.
STOP IT® Pipe Repair Tape is a knitted, fiberglass tape coated with special urethane resins that are water-activated. It is ideal for repair of pipe leaks and reinforcing pipe joints in any situation – even under water! This in-field repair system can be quickly applied – one man, no tools, no hot work and it fully cures to a hard, durable repair in 30 minutes.
 

Applications //
Generally, STOP IT® may be used with products that are compatible with polyurethane plastic. The end user must always determine the suitability of the product for its intended use and recognize that the durability of the repair may be affected by strong acids or bases.

Chemical Resistance //
No visible changes in STOP IT® after an immersion term of 35 days in the following chemicals: Acetic Anhydride, Ammonia, Ammonium Hydroxide (10%), Diesel Fuel, Ethylene Glycol, Gasoline, Hydrochloric Acid (10%), Lube Oil, Mineral, Spirits, Sodium Hydroxide (50%), Sulfuric Acid (10%), Sulfuric Acid (25%), Varsol.

Safety Features //
Even under extreme pressures, the STOP IT® Pipe Repair Tape will not shatter or crack. STOP IT® releases pressures slowly.  When tested to the failing point in laboratory conditions failure was indicated by a reduction in line pressure and seepage.
