HIGH TEMPERATURE SILICA FABRIC

The silica fabric is a flexible amorphous silicone-dioxide fabric which may be employed continuously over lengthy periods, at high temperatures. This fabric has a melting point around 3000^oF and remains flexible and drapable at temperatures where rigid ceramic fibers have long been considered necessary. The fabric embodies excellent thermal insulation values across a wide temperature spectrum and exhibits good chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties. Manufactured in compliance with all requirements of MIL C-24576, Type 1, Class 1.

Applications //

This silica fabric may be employed in a wide range of industrial applications and is of particular value as, welding drop cloth, stress relieving insulation fabrics and blankets for protecting cables and machinery from molten metal splash.
