Made in a special spinning process of a patented calcia-magnesia-silica chemistry, the 3R 2770 Biosolube paper offers several advantages over traditional fibrous insulating materials in high temperature applications. This product has been designed to have low biopersistence or reduced capability to persist in the body. Yet it remains stable under humid atmospheric conditions.

The 3R 2770 has high tensile strengths and is very durable in service. This product also has low levels of non-fibrous particles, commonly called «shot». Therefore, it delivers particularly good thermal conductivity, which minimizes heat loss, reduces outer surface temperatures and cuts operating costs.

Typical applications //

The chemistry of 3R 2770 makes it inherently non-wetting to aluminum. So it can be used in troughs, gaskets, ladles and other areas that come in direct contact with molten aluminum.

Due to its combination of thermal stability, insulating ability and strength, applications for 3R 2770 include :


• Melting/holding furnace doors and roofs	• Backup furnace insulation and gaskets
• Heat treating/homogenizing furnace lining	• General heat protection use
• Carbon bake furnace corner insulation and covers
